Day 8 - September 16, 2026

Kweene Trails, Okavango Delta

Day 2 – Immersed in the Kweene Wilderness
Today we set out to explore the pristine Kweene area both by vehicle and on foot. Beagle Expeditions is unlike any other operator in the Okavango Delta. Their philosophy is rooted in intimacy with the land—small groups, private concessions, and a deep respect for the wildlife corridors that sustain this ecosystem. What makes them truly special is how they seamlessly blend the classic safari drive with the raw thrill of walking safaris.

Your journey unfolds across two interconnected camps: you’ll spend two nights in one camp, then walk across the wilderness—following ancient elephant trails and river systems—arriving at the second camp for two more nights. This slow, grounded way of moving through the Delta allows you to truly feel the landscape shifting beneath your feet. By alternating between vehicle explorations and walks, you gain a layered understanding of the terrain: the vastness seen from the car, and the quiet, detailed beauty only found at eye level on foot.

3 more nights at Kweene Trails

Day 9 - September 17, 2026

Walking safari to Kweene's second camp

The Walk to the Next Camp
With your expert guide leading the way, you will walk 4–5 hours through the bush to reach the second camp. Along the way, there will be unhurried stops for wildlife viewing, birding, and a pause for a picnic lunch with ice-cold beers. This journey is as much a part of the safari as the destination itself—an authentic immersion into the rhythms of the Okavango.

Life at the New Camp
For the next two nights, you will continue to explore the Delta from an exceptional base camp, supported by an extraordinary team. Our skilled kitchen crew and bartenders elevate the wilderness experience, crafting exquisite cocktails and serving fine wines in the very heart of the Kalahari.

The Spirit of Kweene
Kweene is a remarkable and truly exclusive place—accessible only by helicopter due to its remoteness and its protection as a private reserve. This seclusion ensures that your safari is both intimate and undisturbed, offering the rare privilege of night drives and walking safaris in an environment alive with wildlife and untouched beauty.

Here, you may encounter a wide array of iconic animals: lions, hyenas, giraffes, cheetahs, elephants, wild dogs, zebras, and an extraordinary variety of bird species. What sets this experience apart is not just the wildlife, but the privilege of witnessing nature in its purest form.

2 more nights at Kweene Trails Private Conservancy

Day 10 - September 18, 2026

  • Morning Safari – Set out on a game drive or walk, following fresh tracks and immersing yourself in the rhythms of the land.

  • Okavango Dip – As the midday heat builds, take an occasional dip in the clear Delta channels, a refreshing reminder of the wild pulse of this ecosystem.

  • Afternoon Exploration – Another safari unfolds, with opportunities to encounter predators, herds, and the unexpected surprises that make this area so unique.

  • Champagne Sundowners – As the sun sinks into the floodplains, raise a glass of fine champagne in celebration of your journey—an unforgettable toast to the wilderness.

  • Dinner Under the Stars – Your final evening is crowned with a traditional “braai” beneath the Milky Way, set in front of a waterhole frequented by elephants, antelope, and often wild dogs. The fire crackles, the stars blaze above, and the sounds of the Okavango create a soundtrack only nature could compose.

This last night at Kweene Trails is more than a farewell—it is a communion with wild Africa, a memory that lingers long after you’ve left the Delta behind.
