Day 2 - Jan 17, 2024: Arrive at Mara-Olekiombo airstrip
Check in at Emboo River Eco Luxury Camp.
Today we will fly from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to the center of the Masai Mara. As soon as we hit the ground we will start our safari adventure en route to camp we will border the Mara River We will arrive at our exclusive camp before sunset for sundowner cocktails around the fire as we greet our amazing staff and kitchen crew!
Emboo River Camp is a carbon negative lodge that runs on solar power and its safari vehicles are the first and only electric safari cars in Kenya. The electric cars offer a unique way to explore the Maasai Mara and heighten your chances to see wildlife. The vehicles are solar powered, silent, have no exhaust fumes and do not disturb wildlife. You will get close to animals while enjoying the scents of nature and listening to the sounds of the savannah.
Day 3, 4, 5, 6 - Jan 18-21, 2024
Emboo River Eco Luxury Camp
The next 2 days we will explore the Masai Mara plains from our amazing base camp at Emboo RIver with two games drives per day. We expect to see herds of zebra along with lions, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, giraffes and leopards to name a few. We will scan the river for crocs and hippos.
Most safari goers consider this time of the year the best in the Masai Mara as it falls within the dry season, the grass is shorter making it easier to spot animals. In addition it is less crowded making it a great time to go on game drives.
Emboo River Eco Luxury Camp
At camp we will relax and play.
Enjoy the spa, sundowner cocktails and gourmet farm to fork meals. As soon as the sun has set, we invite you around the camp fire. This is the perfect spot to talk about the adventures of the day, gaze at the stars and listen to the tales of the Maasai.

Today we say goodbye to our friends in Emboo River Camp and after a 2 hr game drive we will arrive in our next camp!
Check in at and Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp
This luxurious camp has a fabulous location, in lush riverine forest bordering sprawling plains. A track leads you through the trees to the communal buildings. Each has a thatched roof and is very elegant in its design. The lounge contains loads of comfortable chairs and sofas positioned around coffee tables. It also has a long bar and plenty of bar stools, while just outside there is a deck equipped with further comfy seating – this is the perfect place for relaxing and taking in amazing vistas across the plains!
You will spend 3 nights in this all inclusive camp located inside the exclusive Mara Triangle Private Conservancy.
Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp
From our luxurious base camp you will explore the Mara Triangle with twice daily safaris drives, happy hours, bush dinners and lots of other surprises. We expect to see amazing wildlife in a more intimate and private setting. There will be possible sightings of the elusive Black Rhino.

Day 7 - Jan 22, 2024: Arrive at Wilson Airport (WIL)

Today you will depart camp and fly back to Nairobi from the hotel's airstrip. Those who are flying home tonight will be transferred to the Airport Hotel so you can rest before your late night flight. Meanwhile, those who opted for the "Rwanda Gorilla Extension" will be transferred to the International Airport for your fight to Kigali.

Check in at Four Points By Sheraton
This hotel will be for those flying home tonight or next day and will be the end of our services. Those who opted for Rwanda extension will fly to Kigali tonight (see below).

Overnight in Kigali, Rwanda. Expect to arrive in Kigali in the early evening. The flight from Nairobi to Kigali is not included in this itinerary.

Day 8 - Jan 22, 2024

After breakfast it will be time to head to Volcanoes National Park in search of our cousins the mountain gorillas.
Three hour private transfer from Kigali to the hotel in Volcanoes National Park.

Relax in the hotel bar and enjoy the nature that surrounds this amazing part of the world.
Optional activities : small hike around town with local guide in the late afternoon and massage.
Day 9 - Jan 23, 2024
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Early wake up today for the mountain gorilla trekking experience! You will be briefed by the amazing rangers that have been protecting this species for decades. This is a life changing adventure and the highlight of any trip to Africa.
Day 10 - Jan 24, 2024
Golden Monkeys trekking in Volcanoes National Park
This morning is an easy trek to see the unique Golden Monkeys that live in the edge of the forest and are only found in this area of the world.
