The Okavango Delta in Botswana is one of the world’s great natural wonders—a breathtaking maze of winding waterways, lush islands, and vibrant wetlands teeming with life. This pristine wilderness is among the most exclusive safari destinations on Earth, with only a handful of camps and lodges offering guests a truly immersive, authentic experience.
The Delta’s unique geography is shaped by the Okavango River, which flows down from the Angolan highlands and spreads across the Kalahari Desert, creating a vast oasis that supports an incredible variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, and many more.
At Bodamatau, you’ll enjoy a fully inclusive glamping experience:
-
Luxury mobile camp
-
Twice-daily safaris
-
Gourmet meals
-
Fine wines, champagne
-
Unmatched wildlife encounters and stargazing
This is one of the most spectacular and intimate safari settings in the Okavango Delta.

Glamping at Moremi Game Reserve - Bodamatau
The Okavango Delta is renowned as one of the world’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries, home to vast elephant herds, wild dogs, big cats, and over 400 species of birds. We’ll explore the Bodamatau area, glamping in for the next three nights as we dive deeper into this extraordinary wilderness.
On Day 3, beyond the twice-daily game drives, add:
-
Mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions through the tranquil waterways
-
Boat safaris along the lagoons, ideal for birdwatching and hippo spotting
-
Bush sundowners at hidden panoramic spots

Today, enjoy a full-day safari with a scenic picnic lunch in the bush, followed by a special double-decker boat safari with happy hour. From the elevated deck, we’ll be able to see over the tall grasses and have a rare chance to spot shy species like the elusive sitatunga antelope and, if we’re lucky, the rare spotted-necked otter.

Why Monachira is special:
Set deep in the waterways of the Delta, this lodge gives you rare, intimate access to the channels and lagoons where wildlife gathers. It’s one of the best places to witness elephants up close, sometimes with their faces submerged or even “snorkeling” with their trunks as they cross the water. Along the way, we’ll also have excellent chances to see hippos, crocodiles, swamp lions, and leopards.
Back at camp, enjoy three-course gourmet dinners under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of hippos playing in the nearby lagoon—an unforgettable dining experience in the heart of the bush.
Overnight: Monachira Lodge (all-inclusive)

Midday, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch on a deserted island, followed by a guided walking safari, offering a chance to connect with the landscape up close and track wildlife on foot.
This is one of the most untouched regions in the Delta—wild, vast, and unforgettable.
