Namibia is the second least densely populated country in the world. From the towering sand dunes of the Namib Desert to the semi-arid plains of Etosha National Park teeming with abundant wildlife, it is a vast and distinguished land of hypnotizing landscapes.

DAY 1 (Sept 9th, 2023)

Arrival in Windhoek. Airport pick-up and transfer to hotel. Optional dinner out at Joe’s Beerhouse with our local guides.

DAY 2 - (Sept 10th, 2023)

We leave the city behind in our expedition Land Rover and head for the desert. Today is a rest day, allowing us to adjust to the time change after our long international travels. We will have some local food and cocktails. We will also experience a taste of the country’s glittering night skies, some of the darkest measured on Earth. There are excellent opportunities for stargazing right at our hotel. There is a chance to see wildlife around the lodge and there are some resident meerkats as well. The drive is around 2.5 hrs from Windhoek to the lodge.

DAY 3 - (Sept 11th, 2023)

We will travel 1.5 hrs to the oldest desert in the world: The Namib. We will check in to our luxurious hotel which is situated just outside the gates of the park, guests benefit from being able to reach Deadvlei at sunrise and stay until sunset, and on their return after an exhilarating day, relax in the tranquility and splendor of the Namib Desert, under the spectacular African sky. We will venture on a short excursion to nearby Elim Dune to enjoy the sunset surrounded by vibrantly coloured giant sand dunes; an awe-inspiring sight you will never forget.

DAY 4 - (Sept 12th, 2023)

Today will be one of the highlights of our trip. After an early start to catch the soft light of sunrise over the desert, we drive towards Sossusvlei with sand dunes rising along both sides of the road.

This iconic landscape is made up of white salt plains and red dunes, among the highest in the world, which tower majestically against a deep blue sky.

Next, we climb the famous Dune 45 at sunrise, a beautiful star dune which reaches over 170 meters in height, where we will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding Namibian desert.

After breakfast, we will take a desert walk with the chance of seeing gemsboks, springboks, black-backed jackals, and ostriches.

We will also visit the picturesque DeadVlei. This white clay pan lies between towering orange dunes and is dotted with the skeletal remains of hundreds of dead camelthorn trees, making it a striking vista and photographer’s dream.

As the day cools down in the afternoon, we will enjoy a short excursion to Sesriem Canyon. Later we will have sundowners in the wild and then come back for a bush dinner braai under the stars that will be specially prepared for our group.

DAY 5 - (Sept 13th, 2023)

Early in the morning, we will board a helicopter for a scenic flight over the sand dune corridor. The helicopter can take 3 people at a time and you have the option of riding without doors. It is an exhilarating experience not to be missed. This is an optional activity that carries an additional cost. We will then head towards the coast and the city of Swakopmund.

DAY 6 - (Sept 14th, 2023)

Today we will have a relaxing morning in the hotel. We will head towards Walvis Bay to see flamingos and explore the gigantic sand dunes of Sandwich Harbor on 4×4 vehicles that will take us to the area where the Namib Desert reaches the Atlantic Ocean! We will enjoy some refreshments and champagne on the dunes before heading back to Swakopmund.

DAY 7 - (Sept 15th, 2023)

A morning of optional activities in Swakopmund including quad biking in the dunes and skydiving. As we make our way to Spitzkoppe we will visit the largest colony of fur seals in the world. The drive is about 2 hours from Swakopmund to our next hotel. 

The lodge is situated on the northern periphery of the Spitzkoppe inselberg, between huge granite boulders, which were created more than 150 million years ago, with breathtaking views onto the Brandberg and Erongo Mountains. The stylish, private accommodation of spacious, tastefully furnished chalets, each with a private bathroom and outside viewing deck, which connects the guest with the vast stretches of untouched sand and boulders beyond.

It serves as the ideal base from which to explore the areas famed over-sized boulders, secret caves, and archaeological sites. Once we arrive, we will check-in and explore the area. View impressive rock formations with multiple rock arches and ancient rock art. Tonight will be the new moon and this will be our best stargazing night!

DAYS 8-9 (Sept 16th, 17th, 2023)

Today we leave Spitzkoppe and head to Etosha National Park for 4 nights of incredible safari experiences. Our first stop will be the Otjikandero Himba Orphan Village. The Himba are one of the last tribes in Africa living strictly within their traditions. We will have the opportunity to see them in their natural environment as well as observe their culture and gain an in-depth insight into their traditional way of life.

The Etosha National Park is home to over 100 mammal species including lion, elephant, leopard, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, springbok, black rhino, zebra, and eland. Here we will have a chance to walk to the viewpoint of the waterhole at night. You can also join additional night game drives at an additional cost. The daytime game drives are included and will be one of the most memorable highlights of our expedition. 

INCLUDED: full board (accommodated) – 2 nights inside the park at the Okaukuejo Resort

DAYS 10-11 (Sept 18th & 19th, 2023)

We will drive through the park to the east side of Etosha. We will do a game drive, visit different waterholes, look for more animals and arrive in the afternoon at our lodge just outside the gate of the park located in Onguma Game Reserve. We will go for game drives and also a chance to see wildlife in the waterhole below the hotel’s restaurant.

DAY 12 (Sept 20th, 2023)

Today we will leave Etosha behind. On our return to Windhoek we will stop by the small town of Okahandja. Here we will visit the biggest craft market in Namibia.

DAY 13 (September 21, 2023)

Depart from Windhoek International Airport at any time.
